What's in a Name?

    Ajit and Nisha have moved in to their brand new home - A beautiful one I must add. The other day LN was mentioning that it is rumored that their house is having the best interiors in town. I confirmed that in the way of the people staying in the house, the house does have a couple of the best interiors in town.

That makes me ask the question - What have Ajit and Nisha decided to name their home?

Answer: They have decided to name their home 'Ajit's Nisha Area'.

For the slower type, it tries to cleverly drive home the idea that it is Ajit's Niche Area - another of my own creations - not their home but this gag.

Okay, now that the applause has died down, I shall proceed to tell you what happened to-day morning.

    I went to Smitha's workstation and asked her the question and gave her this answer. What proceeded was half a minute of blank silence from Smitha's side, her eyes lit up and sheer brilliance shone from her eyes. I thought she was about to say something really clever and waited with the proverbial bated breath. She went on in a dreamy manner "Arvind!! Prasad and I have built a new home for us. Guess what we have decided to name it?" I tried to rake my head with all the possible answers and finally replied "Search me. I don't know the answer. I give up". She replied with a twinkle in her eye "We have decided to name our home 'Prasad's Smitha Area'".

    The earth beneath my feet felt slippery as quicksand and I had to hold the mouse to get a hold on myself.

1stDay2ndShow - Forthcoming Distractions

For those who came in late...

We have formed a club whose sole (and soul) aim is to watch movies, as the name says it all, on the First Day preferably the Second Show, for it would be a convenient time for all interested parties. Anytime later than that wont do for your true blue 70mm glue. While the club activities have been making waves in the page 3 circuit since quite a good number of weeks, the club itself with its current name has been officially floated last week. The president of the group is making necessary arrangements to register the trademark or whatever one calls what one registers when they come up with a new club.

That brings us to the subject of making introductions. Madhu, who previously in the post was alluded to as true blue 70mm glue, has been unanimously declared "President for Life" - she will be addressed "Mrs. President" - of the most popular movie goers club in Bangalore "First Day Second Show". Prashant, being her worse one-fifth, takes the dreaded position of "The First Layda". I, who invariably happen to ride the whole nine kilometers to book the tickets every time a movie is planned, have been decorated with the portfolio "The Bookie". Ajit has farced himself as the "Leader of Opposition" with Anirban and Nisha chipping in as his acolytes.

The current members are Ajit, Nisha, Anirban, VC, Prabha, Arun, Ferose, Nipun and obviously Me, Prashant and Madhu. The members have obliged to send in their mugshots which shall promptly be put up on this website.
